Announcing the recipients of an additional round of grants awarded by Creative Lives

Creative Lives is delivering a grant programme as part of a major initiative called Know Your Neighbourhood, led by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and supported by Arts Council England (ACE). The programme is operating in 27 priority areas across England. So far, Creative Lives has awarded over 60 grants, but we received no applications from Hartlepool during our initial round of funding. We therefore adapted the scheme and made a specific offer to groups in this area.

We're excited to announce that in November 2024, we awarded four grants of £5,000 to community groups in Hartlepool. The funding supports those groups to tackle chronic loneliness and boost volunteering opportunities through increasing local participation in creative activities.
