English Heritage wants to fund projects that will help people connect with the free-to-visit sites in their care. The programme is focused on sites in Tyne and Wear, north Cumbria, and the north of Northumberland.

They will fund community projects that focus on wellbeing, heritage skills, or nature and that are connected to, or take place at, one of the eligible English Heritage sites in the above areas.

You can apply for grants from £250 to £5,000.

Grants will only be given to organisations with a constitution, a bank account and externally audited accounts. If you're an individual or a non-constituted group, you'll need to partner with a constituted organisation to apply for the grant and manage the project.

For more information, and to apply, visit the English Heritage website here.
